At PANDA DOORS & WINDOWS, we are dedicated to environmental stewardship
in all we do. We pride ourselves on our forward thinking approach to all
aspects of our business and the green movement is no exception. In joining
the global effort to protect our earth and its resources, we restructured
our everyday operational practices and approach to the design and
manufacturing of our products. We absolutely strive to reduce, reuse,
recycle and design systems that are optimally efficient. We take every step
to produce the highest quality windows and doors therefore reducing the need
for replacement and the strain of consumption. We recycle all aluminum and
wood waste created in manufacturing as well as glass, paper, solvents and
motor oil.
Aluminum is the optimal choice for windows and doors for numerous
reasons. It has excellent thermal conductivity - it spreads heating and
cooling energy evenly and quickly. Aluminum can easily be reclaimed and
recycled into new products and it rates very high in the Life Cycle
Assessment. In addition, many of our products are available with a thermally
broken frame which resists the transfer of cold and heat from the outside to
the inside of the frame. This, in addition to our use of insulated glass,
reduces the need for air conditioning and heating.
